The next LAN Monkeys LAN party will take place January 30, 2010 from 9am till 9pm at the Elks Lodge in Naugatuck, Connecticut. Costs are $20.00 - these prices cover the cost of the hall rental. LAN Monkeys is a non-profit organization.
This is a BYOC (Bring your own computer) and Potluck (Bring food to share) LAN party.
We only play PC games (no consoles) and NO MMORPG’s!
We do not offer Wi-Fi; everything is on a wired network.
What to Bring:
- Computer
- Monitor
- Games (updated to current version)
- Update Steam and put it in Offline mode
- All Relevant cables
- 25ft+ Cat5e/Cat6 (network cable)
- Your Windows O/S disc (just in-case)
- Headphones (absolutely NO speakers!)
- Power Strip
- Favorite food and drink
- Extra $$ for food runs (there is a McDonalds next store to the Elks lounge and a Stop & Shop across the street)
- Yourself
- Mindset for having a great time!

We do encourage everyone to play games together, although it is perfectly fine if people end up playing different games! We just want everyone to have a great time being around people who enjoy the same hobby as you do!
Note: The Elks lodge does NOT have internet access – we have a file server which contains updates for most games. Please make sure all Valve games (CS:S, TF2, L4D, etc) are fully updated and Steam is set to “Offline” mode prior to arriving. Also, if you have any mods and/or maps, please contact us prior to the LAN or bring a copy and upload to our file server!
